As a Consultant/Advocate, Mr. Huyck successfully assists families, consumers, attorneys, organizations and others in “navigating the regional center system” and other public benefits programs. He currently focuses on helping families and their support system to access public benefits from government benefits programs.  This includes all local, state and federal public benefits programs and services.

He was Executive Director of the Alta California Regional Center in Sacramento, CA for over 9 years, which is a private, non-profit agency under annual contract with the State of California.  In this position, he lead his facility in planning for and providing  comprehensive services, including healthcare, to children and adults with developmental disabilities who are residents of the ten-county region of Alpine, Colusa, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba Counties.
